Rudra Homam in the Divine presence of His Holiness Bhagwan Sri Sri Sri Viswayogi Viswamjee Maharaj

Rudra Homam was performed in the city of Morrisville, North Carolina in the Hindu Society of North Carolina premises on August 22nd 2010. The function was well attended by people from different parts of the USA.

Speaking on the occasion Swamiji said that aim of the temples is to spread the message of Sanaatana Dharma to all the sections of society. Our ancient sages did research and found out how to strengthen and make man powerful and the world peaceful and these rules and regulations are described in the Sanaatana Dharma.

Swamiji said that the power which sustains entire universe is Rudra. Rudra is ruling the entire universe, and is the universal life force. It transforms into 11 forms to perform different tasks. These 11 rudras govern the entire universe and its activities, and if these 11 are powerful and peaceful the universe is peaceful. Even the solar system and our earth are governed by the 11 rudras. Even our body is governed by the 11 rudras. The Life force within us transforms into 11 forces. Each life force or prana had an upa prana associated with it. This way there are a total of 11 pranas, these are the ekadasha rudras. Our body, the solar system, earth and the universe are composed of the same 5 elements or pancha bhootas.

Siva is the one who has combined force of pancha bhootas and the ekadasha rudras. When we do Rudra homam, we merge our will with the ekasdasha rudras, and are removing the negative forces. The spiritual practices remove negative feelings from within us, Swamiji added.

It is divine will that Rudra homam is being performed after Swamiji’s Kailash manasa sarovar yatra, and said that now the whole atmosphere where the homam is performed and all the participants are charged with the divine energy, and it is our goal to retain that energy within us and do good for the world.

Swamiji said that the natural calamities are due to the imbalance between the five elements of the nature, and warned that if people continue to waste or pollute the God given resources, God will cut these resources, and deprive us of these resources.

Swamiji stressed on the need to control the mind, and said that he who has his mind under control can control the mind of everyone else, as mind is only one, the Universal mind. If the mind is strong it is the will that works, so one will never get tired.

Mind of the Mother Earth is Manasa Sarovar, and Swetha dweep is in east of Manasa Sarovar, the parama gurus live there and govern the universe and transmit their energy to some chosen people who will serve the society. If we merge our mind with minds of these Parama Gurus you can do anything as the Guru’s have connection with the universal mind.

Swamiji concluded saying that one can get the benefit of the entire rudra homam by chanting “Trayambakam Yajamaha Sugandhim Pusthi Vardhanam, Urvarukam iva bhandanaath mrutyor mokshiya mamrutat”.
