UNIVERSAL    PHILOSOPHY

                      

The Lord of  Universe is shining in the Universe.

The universe thus shines in the Lord.

If the lord does not shine, Universe does not shine

The interwoven affinity of

The Lord and Universe is permanent.            

   

Wherever and whenever Masterji lectures he begins his address with this stanza and ends his address with “OM SRI SAI RAM  GURUDEVA  DATTA” In this beginning and ending is inherent the universal philosophy If we know this secret, the nature of the universal metaphysics, will be known to us. Thus we get to experience Divine knowledge and inspiration. Which in turn will unravel to us, who is God and who is our Guru, the protector thereby  we will have the intuitive vision of God and Guru.

                                

The universe is filled with God and in God is the universe. Without the one the other does not exist, and the two are naturally, inseparably interwoven. What does this universe consists of? Only atoms. Every atom in the universe, is Lord Vishnu. He is all-pervasive in as much as atoms pervade the whole universe. With out them there is no place in the world.

There is no commodity without them. Though miniature in quantity the magnitude of their power is infinite. The energy and the power of the universe is ingrained in every atom. If we research the atom we get to have the Darshan of the universe. The atom and universe are identical. They are like Parvati and Parameswara.

 

After having attained the divine stage and status of Viswayogi, Sri Viswamji beheld the universe in Him and himself  in the universe. There is nothing in this universe, which is not his. This knowledge dawned on him. After the attainment of this divine knowledge, There is no difference between MINE  and THINE? In this universe there is only one loving affinity between everything and there is harmonious identity of existence .

 

Nescience or un wisdom are the reason for the existence of animality, selfishness, ego, enmity between man and man in this universe. This lack of knowledge led to the vivisection of the universe into so many casts , creed religions and man became cruel and subhuman. Another form of this inhuman sub-humanity is the excessive indulgence in the concept “I am the Body”. If ever a man knows who this ‘I’ is, he learns that there is  universal self in every body  and the same is universal awareness and energized life force. It is in all living creatures. So such awareness creates equanimity that, all are the same. This is divine knowledge.

 

The hungry man needs food, not the stanzas of Bhagavadgita. Man’s physical needs must be satisfied first. His family must flourish with health and happiness and his house has to become an abode of peace. For achieving this state Viswayogi advices, restraint and saving economy. Discharging one’s own duty is worship of God according to Viswamji  “Mother father, and teacher, he adds are the existing God forms. If they are neglected God becomes unattainable says Viswamji. Viswamji insists on those who visit him to leave off all evil habits in them. That is the real reward they can give him as medicated offering or Guru Dakshina. This aspect of advise is a kin to the advise or ordination of Shirdi Sai Baba to his devotees, asking for “Faith and Patience,” as Guru Dakshina.

 

Those who want to earn Divine Power must reform themselves. Limits and forbearance in food-intake, maintenance of purity in the same, are the first prerequisites. Bad and pernicious thoughts and ways are to be given up. Cinema, which inflames passion must be avoided, and obscene literature must not be read. Drinking habit must be given up. Such blissful knowledge is spirituality. Through Yoga Sadhana, and Penance, Viswamji became Viswayogi and he acquired, divine knowledge to redeem himself or also to liberate all seekers,  others,  and aspirants, making them know eternal righteousness. The infinite bliss which he experienced, enjoyed, he wanted to share with all. For this purpose all people in the universe and every aspirant should earn a good degree of eligibility through reformation of himself. When a individual gets reformed and transformed every person develops in himself the equanimity, and attains the consciousness of equality of all.  Such consciousness conduces, becoming a prop for trying, to attain universal peace. The awareness that all human beings are same, there will emerge one religion of humanity or universal love. The religion of humanity, then evolves it self as religion of love. With far-sighted universal outlook Sri Viswayogi made an auspicious beginning for establishing religion of love. If one wants to win over a person, love is the alchemy. What the suffering humanity today requires is men and women who wipe out tears from every eye and not simply preachers and teachers of the saying of God.

 

Preserve the body as a Temple and the heart as the seat of God and shape them as such. Precept and practice should be the same. Recognize that Truth, Character, purity and unity are the Four pillars of blessed existence Such recognition and practice leads you to complete humanness which in itself is Divinity. Every person must foster human values nourish them and practice them. They are Love, Compassion, sacrifice and service. Through service to humanity, these human values are to be exemplified. If one follows this course, he or she will get to know and attain divine awareness or knowledge of Atma. Doing Japa, Homa, Penance, pilgrimages and thinking that God is somewhere in a holy place is learning only alphabets in school. Knowledge of atma or universal self-alone, leads to actual, real divine devotion. The devotion of worship should eventually lead one to knowing the self or self-effulgent, Atma. Journeying in this path of knowing atma or Divine self will afford the seeker, the true knowledge of the fact “I am the Brahman”. This is the state of attaining salvation with life or in this life. Whoever realises really that I am the universe and the universe is my own self, will approximate to Viswa Guru and will merge in Him

 

They become the dearest to the Universal Teacher, then the relationship between teacher and pupil, will vanish. Truth becomes universality at that stage. He, who ever comprehends this philosophy or innate nature of this universe  and who ever thus assumes and appropriates universal or divine power will become the incarnate form of Lord  Dattatreya.

 

“Masterji gifted to this universe the sacred Mantra

 

“OM SRI  SAI  RAM  GURU DEVADATTA”.

 

The world knows that OM SRI SAI RAM is the sacred hymn or Mantra of SAI  NATH “GURUDEVADATTA is the Mantra of Dattatreya . These are not new, everybody knows them. But Sri Viswayogi Viswamji integrated them. Having done the integration, he could realize that the totality of these two ,Mantra  became “OMNI POTENT” or all Powerful and all Pervasive. This Sri Viswayogi , the Supreme knower of potency of Mantras , knows. With the benefaction this great Mantra OM SRI SAI RAM GURUDEVA DATTA to the world, Sri Viswayogi Viswamji revealed to the world that he is verily the SAI DATTA and unrevealed the mystery that Sri SAI RAM is GURU DEVADATTA.

 

                That is the scholarly perception of this unique Mantra.

 

SAI means the Supreme Divine Ruler. The word Sai came from the word “SAHI” according the scholarly experts in language and literature. SAI did not originate from SWATHI as thought and by some. The ‘Hi’ in “sahi” could change in “YEE” but it could not assume the altered form “YEE”, from “HI” in the word swami. This change was unacceptable to linguistics and language science. Further the word “Sayee” is the one who sojourns. Sehasayee is the Lord, who reclines on the hooded Adisesha. This Saaye has no relationship with “Sai”, Rama means Atma Rama, the indweller. Om the primeval word is Para Brahma or the supreme Brahman. Sri is total suspiciousness and is fullness of attributes of prosperity. “Sai Rama” means Paramatma+soul(Atma).These two are fused into one and thus yogi emerged from such unison. He became Guru Deva Datta.  

Deva is atomic power. Datta is who embodied the atomic power. Further ,this mind is assimilated into the universal mind and the power of the universe  in grasped by this yogi. From the word Sri, it means, that he intends and yearns for the welfare of humankind and in proffering source of universal welfare. The word “OM” is joined as per sacred tradition since OM is the text of supreme Brahman, the mother origin of creation and is the cosmic energy or Divine power. The self the same power is Datta Sakti, the mighty creative force or power of   Datta. Lord Dattatreya declared in the sacred lore “Tripura Rahasya” “I am Tripura” and communicated the same to incarnation Parasurama. The hallowed declaration of Viswayogi, OM SRI SAI RAMA GURU DEVA DATTA is revelation of the supreme fact that the quintessence of the Mantra is the nature of the universe and Viswayogi`s doctrined philosophy. The same in the idealised epitome of Sai philosophy or fullness of the Sai Doctrine, Sai creed and theme in Love Datta`s creed and theme is Supreme Knowledge. SAI DATT  philosophy is a unique admixture of Love and divine knowledge. Whoever visits, visited, might have seen; Sri Viswayogi Viswamji, his love is transparently experienced and enjoyable. His wisdom is crystal clear. The majority who visit, see pray Viswamji come to have his love. Those who seek to learn and possess supreme knowledge are lesser and fewer. Viswayogi knows these facts very well, so Viswamji attracts all with his affable love, he cajoles them, and gives, what he wants to bestow, make them agree to his initiations and instruction and act accordingly. This is a unique method of inculcating and imparting Supreme Divine knowledge.

 

Sri Viswayogi Viswamji is incarnated Love and is love in human form. Some feel, that he treats some with endearing love , pats them on the back happily converses with them indulgently. Some others are cared less while they prostrate, Viswayogi talks to some one else and does not listen to these bowing to him and is indifferent. This is the view of some people. It is not true .it is a misnomer and mistaken view. There are no evidences when and where Viswamji treated his devotees with indifference. All we can say, is that we, with our limited understanding powers and intellect can not fully grasp the inner meaning of this action. We understand his attitude with our level and in our dimension of comprehension. We come to our own conclusions with our imaginary views. This is a wrong assessment. The actions and reactions of Viswayogi have profound real meanings. His treatment of devotees might have a basis, based on the store of their karmic merits and demerits. He might be making us spend them in away, he intends. We must dive deep to understand his actions.

 

Sri Vidya Sagara Sarma, the elder brother of Viswamji in his bodily life and previous state of existence is subjected to this narrowing and credulous experience. Once Sri Sarma  with  his wife, visited Viswayogi Viswamji. He made prostration to Viswamji`s feet. Viswamji at that time was in conversation with near by devotees and did not give much  or due attention to Vidyasagar Sarma couple. Sri Viswamji did not apply vibhuti or kumkum to Sri Sarma, and his wife as he used to do to always, Sri Sarma was pained at this indifferent treatment. Sri Sarma`s wife with painful experience and lack-lustre face sat in a corner. Masterji looked at Sri Vidyasagara Sarma and his wife. Masterji began to narrate them as also to all others in assembly the story of prodigal son in the Bible

 

One son left home and parents log ago. All including his parents lost all hope of the son’s return. The son, who went astray lost all his fortune and degenerated into Vice and he was the youngest son of his parents. Some day the father learnt about the prospect of this given up-for lost sons return, to his home. With inexplicable joy, the father organised a welcome reception and invited near and dear for the occasion. The eldest son was simply bewildered at the joy of their father and wondered, why his father was so profuse in his kindness and concern for the prodigal son, the youngest, he felt that he was lawful, and dutiful to his parents but father was indifferent to him. He questioned his father at the lavishness of reception to a fellow, who never cared parents. The father replied “ My dear son, I felt the younger son was last to me as a spoiled and ruined fellow. He deserted  home and parents. I had absolutely no hope of his return. But learning that he is returning home, my joy knew no bounds. As a father my mind was filled with supreme and inexplicable joy. How could you know the heart of a parent” Thus the father answered the elder son. Having said thus, Viswamji added that the Guru or God would shower all love on those who care less for them than on those who always, adore them with Veneration and humility.

 

“There is a purpose and design behind this attitude. It is to rectify the erring aspirants and devotees, the extra concern and compassion is showered. With cajoling or by employing  other means they are brought to the right way”. Such and such are the methods of a Guru”. These were the observations of Viswamji to Sri Sarma . The reminder of doubt in Sri Sarma`s heart fell aground and all doubts vanished. But some go with a far-way feeling that Sri Viswamji was not treating them well. Such broken minds and hearts seldom regain faith.

 

Masterji always remains his boon bestowing compassion on those who response absolute faith and with out-stretched palms, supplicate for his love and gifts, he rains grace. Without devotion, if you seek no grace is given. It showers elsewhere: So, to gain the grace of the Guru, Faith and patience as also perseverance are the foundations and life forces. The grace of Guru’s giving is in proportion to the vastness or is in proportion to the quantity of the vessel, we take with us. If we yearn for more, it does not come. The mistake lies with us.

 

Some people question whether the Vibhuti(sacred ash) gifted by Masterji and the Nama Japa are fulfilling the desires of the devotees. If Masterji possessed all powers, they must solve all problems. The Vibhuti if efficacious, must rescue all from painful situations. Why all are not becoming free from troubles? These questions have been bothering many. God does not solve all problems, even if we ardently pray. So also is a Guru. All or any body will reap the consequences of the stored up merits or demerits of their previous actions. It is similar to the bank balance. You can draw no money. If you have thousand rupees, you will get only that much but cannot draw two thousand rupees. If account holders stand security, you will be granted a loan similar is the case with God also. Meritorious deeds of life give store of good merits. After having spent the balance of purva punya, if still one wants to draw on a non-existing balance, nothing good comes out of it. If you repeat doing generous, good service, balance accrues as credit balance in bank and you can draw upon it again. Even Viswayogi by himself does not confer on devotees any thing. He bestows as per the credit, and debit, balances of the accounts of his devotees. He does not have the difference, that these are mine; those are not mine. It is human habit that if some good accrues to us, we go to Viswamji saying “Swami, because of your blessings and grace, I got these good results are welfare. You know what he says for your submission. “For the good and bad consequences of your karmic fate you are responsible. I am in no way the cause or nor do I create the effect. I am like an electric bulb. The switch is with you. If you put on the switch, I supply current and light, so long as there is current there is no confusion. If you snap the connection all is confusion. If you follow my direction, and good advise and act, removing your weaknesses and bad habits, you will earn the right to enjoy the fruits of your good, righteous actions. On the other hand, if you are caught in the web of illusion, and maya, and become slaves to desires, anger attachment, lust, pride and envy, your connection with me will be broken. If your mind gets polluted, my connection with you is snapped. Troubles will envelop you, will surround you. Search your heart. Purify your minds. Behave according to the teachings or prescribed ways of your Guru or preceptor and please him. Thus you will earn his grace. There by you will acquire peace and get unified, attaining unity.

 

That is what you need to give me as a gift, to Guru. This will be the real consecrated, meditated offering to me. This is the secret of my heart, pertaining to you. This is the true pulsation of my heart and response to your prayers. Viswamji  also instructs his devotees and visitors to become spiritually powerful to earn, attain and acquire blessed results. All men, he desires, must assume the forms of Love and all religions must transform themselves into creeds of pure love. Viswamji enjoins on all men to unite and march from humanness to Divinity. This is his heart’s  yearning  and worshipful determination and resolve. So he undertook the vow to transform humanity into travelers on the path of Divinity and pilgrims marching towards providence. Unity of human race is his  is his philosophy. Peace, universal peace is the credo of Viswamji`s divinised faith and characteristic metaphysical creed, as also his natural theme.

 

This treatise is not the epilogue of Viswa Guru Charitra. It is not the end of the story. Rather the foregoing sacred narration is the real beginning of the blissful story of Viswa Guru, the universal teacher. This Viswa Guru has to wait and long for some more time. For the sanctified history called Viswa Guru Charitra or history of the Master of this universe. He is verily the form of SAI DATTA and we are blessed and fortunate to have been born as contemporaries to Viswa Guru. More blessed is our lot because we have his divine presence with us. We converse with him, we touch his Holy feet an  thus make our lives pure and sublime. We have today the rarest good fortune, as members of the Family of this Viswa Guru and are the luckiest lot of human beings as beneficiaries of his compassionate looks, care, concern and grace.

 

                                          In the Midst of the Guru is situated the universe,

                                          In the Midst of Universe is located the Guru,

                                          Guru is Viswam, Universe and Guru  are not

                                          different. Salutations  to the Guru.                            

 

                                          OM  SRI  VISWA  GURAVENAMAHA

                                          OM  SRI   SAI   RAM  GURU  DEVA  DATTA                                                                       

                                                                        UNIVERSAL    TEACHER                                                                                           

                                  The Supreme manifests as the Universe

                                    In the Almighty the universe exists

                                    Without the Almighty’s presence there is no Universe

                                    The Supreme and the Universe are Synonymous.

 

                                   He, who worships the whole Universe as the

                                   Embodiment of the teacher, himself is the Universal Teacher

                                   To visualise the whole Universe in the Teacher and the

                                   Teacher in the Universe and thus worship it;

           is the philosophy of the Universal Teacher

 

 

 

                                     Whoever assimilates that philosophy and becomes that,

                                       Is the Universal Teacher.
